I recently purchased a pH700 Benchtop pH meter for testing in both powders and creams. Unfortunately, while reading the manual, it appears as though this meter is to be used only for aqueous solutions. Is it possible to use a sleeve to keep the probe clean and protect it from damage while obtaining readings from both media, or is it necessary to use a different probe? Also, are separate probes necessary for readings with dry powders versus creams/emulsions? If so, please recommend the probe(s) that would be best for this application.
